Advancing Equity in Philanthropy

Partnered with RVC (Rainier Valley Corps) on a virtual funder discussion titled “Advancing Equity in Philanthropy: Moving from Commitment to Action.” The session was a practical exploration of tools and tactics for advancing equitable grantmaking practices within foundations.

Participants heard from peers about their successes and challenges, and learned about new solutions for meaningful investment in BIPOC communities, including RVC’s Social Justice League. The discussion featured Vu Le (founder of RVC and NonprofitAF.com), Ananda Valenzuela (Co-Executive Director of RVC), Regina Elmi (Co-Founder of Supporting Partnership in Education and Beyond), and Juliet Le (then Program Officer at Satterberg Foundation).

The webinar was co-presented by Philanthropy Northwest, RVC, Satterberg Foundation, and Centered Capacity Collaborative, reflecting the kind of cross-sector coordination that defines Juliet’s approach to philanthropic transformation.
