    Viets in Philanthropy (VIP)

Founded Viets in Philanthropy to address the absence of culturally grounded affinity space for Vietnamese professionals working within philanthropic institutions. Recognizing the isolation and identity-based challenges faced by diaspora leaders navigating predominantly white institutional spaces, Juliet convenes ongoing gatherings that center dialogue on identity, power, professional responsibility, and the complexities of working within philanthropy while remaining accountable to community. Through facilitated conversations, peer exchange, and relational trust-building, VIP strengthens cross-institutional relationships and cultivates a supportive ecosystem for Vietnamese leaders.

    Seattle Equity Summit

One of the lead organizers for the Seattle Equity Summit (2019 in-person; 2020 & 2021 virtual), a community-led convening created under the vision of C’Ardiss (CC) Gardner Gleser that brought together more than 500 participants to deepen racial equity practice and strengthen cross-sector relationships across government, nonprofit, philanthropy, and business. Led end-to-end planning and execution for a $500K convening budget, including program design, speaker recruitment, accessibility supports, communications, and post-convening learning and evaluation.

    Sound Transit Accessibility Initiative

Designed and led a multilingual (English and Vietnamese) community engagement process to inform accessibility and community impact strategies for new light rail station expansions across Seattle. Recruited and coordinated 35 Vietnamese community members across generations, immigration histories, and transit-use experiences—from elders who had never ridden the light rail to daily commuters. Through language justice practices and trust-based facilitation, community feedback directly informed improvements to station signage, ADA access considerations, and inclusive infrastructure planning for current and future expansions.
